呼吸驱动的CO2脉冲主导澳大利亚通量的变异

摘要:澳大利亚大陆对全球陆地二氧化碳(CO2)吸收的年际变化做出了重要贡献。然而,偏远地区缺乏现场观测数据,使得无法解析导致CO2通量变异的过程。本文通过对2009-2018年间卫星观测的大气CO2测量进行分析,发现澳大利亚大陆经常出现干季末期的CO2脉冲。由于季节性变化相比之前的自上而下推断和自下而上估计要高2-3倍,这些脉冲在很大程度上控制着澳大利亚的CO2平衡的年际变化。CO2脉冲出现在降雨开始后不久,是由于澳大利亚半干旱地区光合作用吸收前土壤呼吸增强所驱动的。土壤重湿过程的建议性大陆尺度相关性对于我们对全球气候 - 碳循环反馈的理解和模拟具有重大影响。
